The Family Promise Center - Unlike most shelter programs, we offer our families a place to stay during the day. The Center lends our guests its address and phone number while they look for permanent housing.  Our employed guests leave for work from the Center, while school districts pick up and drop off our families’ children there as well. The center has a baths/showers, washer/dryer, computers, phones with voice mail, as well as TV, games, and books. The Family Promise Center is also the location for our network director’s office. She works together with our partner agencies to help our guests in their searches for employment, training and/or housing. The Family Promise Center is located in Evanston, IL near public transportation, parks, and convenient to our host congregations.
