We believe in complete transparency at Family Promise Chicago North Shore
The Family Promise model of care is very cost effective. Evening accommodation space for our guests is graciously donated by our local host congregations. And all of our guests’ meals are donated by our many dedicated volunteers. This is a huge cost savings. We estimate that every dollar donated is matched by more than $3 of in-kind goods and services!
We rely on generous supporters to provide the funds that allow us to provide our core program services. Our costs include our Day Center, where guests can have an address and access to computers and phones for job searches, take showers, do laundry, and have a safe place for their pre-school age children during the day; our transport van; personnel who deliver program services including client intake, case management, job skill training, job search assistance, and other support services; and fees associated with background checks and drug screening of guests.
Our volunteer Board of Directors is a working board that handles operations, host recruiting, public relations, personnel, and fundraising.
